Scholarship for aspiring producers and engineers

Abbey Road Institute, in partnership with Pensado’s Place, is offering a full Scholarship to study at Abbey Road Institute Miami. The Scholarship covers 100% of the course fees, for one student to study on our Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering in September 2025. The winning applicant will be chosen based on merit.

Our ethos and curriculum have been founded on nearly 90 years of expertise and innovation in production and recording developed at Abbey Road Studios. We work closely with engineers and producers to create a broad, hands-on and cutting-edge curriculum delivered through our professional one-year Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering. This prepares you to launch a career in the music industry as unique as you are. What unites our students and team is a love of music and a passion to create.

You will learn from creative cutting edge producers, technical experts, business professionals and established and experienced names across the music industry. Our Miami campus is located inside one of the most relevant and modern recording studios available today; Art House Studios, where artists like Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Alejandro Sanz, Will Smith and others have recorded and produced some of their most famous hits.

The team of instructors also includes engineer Maria Elisa Ayerbe, who the Latin Recording Academy recently honored as one of the “Leading Ladies of Latin Entertainment.” Maria, and other female music industry leaders who are part of the teaching staff, will look to inspire a new generation of female music production and engineering students.

How to apply

The process to apply has slightly changed compared to last year, so please carefully read the instructions below, so we can accept your submission.

Step 1 | Submit the form below

First, ensure that you meet the entry requirements for the course, then gather your portfolio and create an introduction video of yourself explaining who you are and why you’d deserve this scholarship. The maximum length should be 5min. Upload both the portfolio and your introduction video to a link where we can download them (make sure it won’t expire before February 20th). This could be Google Drive or Dropbox for example.

Make sure you submit this form before February 10th 2025.

Step 2 | You will receive an email from us before February 20th 2025

Candidates who meet the entry criteria for the Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering will go through a shortlisting. This shortlisting will select 5 candidates, who will be invited for a Zoom interview between February 20th and March 5th. Also candidates who weren’t shortlisted will receive an email from us.

After the interview, we will let the winner know by March 10th 2025.

The Scholarship will cover 100% of the tuition fees for the Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering.
