Designed by industry for industry, our Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering will push your music production or sound engineering career to the next level. Our curriculum is founded upon over 90 years of experience at Abbey Road Studios. A studio that has developed innovative recording techniques and trained assistant engineers who have since become well-respected music producers and audio engineers in their own right.

During our intensive, one-year program, you’ll learn from the extensive knowledge and expertise created at Abbey Road Studios. You’ll have access to industry-standard recording equipment and studios and be taught by experts like Abbey Road Institute Los Angeles CEO Rafa Sardina and guest lectures with multi-award-winning professionals such as Alan Meyerson, Vanessa Garde and many more. When you train with us, you become part of a global network in the music industry.

The diploma will develop you as a rounded professional with technical skills, knowledge, and expertise. You’ll be guided by a creative and informed approach to music production and audio engineering and a deep understanding of the music business and how it operates.

AS A GRADUATE OF ABBEY ROAD INSTITUTE, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Utilize industry standard tools (including DAWs ProTools, Ableton, and Logic, as well as an extensive array of plug-ins and our outboard gear from Meyer Sound, Neve, Focusrite, and more, for creating, performing, recording, editing, mixing and mastering music
  • Develop and implement compositional and arrangement ideas for music productions.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a creative team, maximising group-based projects and outcomes.
  • Time manage music production projects
  • Solve problems through reflection and adaptation of knowledge
  • Understand the fundamentals of the music business, including marketing strategies and applications
  • Manage your professional career development.
