Scholarship for aspiring producers and engineers

Abbey Road Institute, in partnership with Avid, is offering a 50% Scholarship to study at Abbey Road Institute Miami. The Scholarship covers 50% of the course fees, for two students to study on our Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering in September 2024. The winning applicants will be chosen based on merit.

Our ethos and curriculum have been founded on nearly 90 years of expertise and innovation in production and recording developed at Abbey Road Studios. We work closely with engineers and producers to create a broad, hands-on and cutting-edge curriculum delivered through our professional one-year Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering. This prepares you to launch a career in the music industry as unique as you are. What unites our students and team is a love of music and a passion to create.

You will learn from creative cutting edge producers, technical experts, business professionals and established and experienced names across the music industry. Our Miami campus is located inside one of the most relevant and modern recording studios available today; Art House Studios, where artists like Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Alejandro Sanz, Will Smith and others have recorded and produced some of their most famous hits.

The team of instructors also includes engineer Maria Elisa Ayerbe, who the Latin Recording Academy recently honored as one of the “Leading Ladies of Latin Entertainment.” Maria, and other female music industry leaders who are part of the teaching staff, will look to inspire a new generation of female music production and engineering students.

How to apply

To be eligible to apply for the Scholarship you will firstly need to apply, be interviewed and receive an offer for a place on the course.

Step 1 | Apply for and secure your place on our Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering

Ensure that you meet the entry requirements for the course, gather all your documentation together and submit it via our online application portal. The full list of entry requirements and guidance on how to prepare your application can be found here on the course page.

Once you have submitted your application for the course we will review your application and if you meet all of the criteria above we will arrange an interview with you. You will need to apply for the Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering by the 28th of May 2024 to apply for the Scholarship program.

Step 2 | Submit your Scholarship Application

Alongside your application to the Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering you will also need to complete and submit the application form below.

To be eligible to apply for the scholarship you will need to meet the following Scholarship criteria:

  • Your Diploma application has been successful and we have offered you a place on the course
  • You are aged between 18 – 35

The Scholarship will cover 50% of the tuition fees for the Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering.

Step 3 | Interview for the Abbey Road Scholarship

Candidates who meet the entry criteria for the Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering and the Abbey Road Scholarship will go through a shortlisting process with the Scholarship selection panel. If more info is required, they will be contacted. The successful candidate will be chosen and Scholarship applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by the end of June 2024.
