2024: A Year of Triumph and Talent at Abbey Road Institute Miami

As 2024 comes to a close, we look back on an extraordinary year filled with achievements, creativity, and unforgettable moments. At Abbey Road Institute Miami, we’ve always celebrated the power of music to bring people together and the boundless potential of our students and alumni. This year has been no exception—it’s been a year to remember, marked by groundbreaking milestones and well-deserved recognition on the global stage.

Ela Taubert Shines at the Latin Grammys
One of the highlights of 2024 has been the incredible success of Ela Taubert, a graduate of Art House Academy. Ela took home the prestigious Best New Artist award at the Latin Grammys, cementing her status as a rising star in the music world. Her win is a testament to her exceptional talent, relentless dedication, and the supportive community that helped nurture her along the way. This was the second consecutive year for one of our graduates to win this award, with Joaquina winning the year before.

Ela’s journey is one of passion and perseverance. While graduating from Art House Academy, she signed with Universal Music and quickly made waves with a string of hit releases. Her latest collaboration with Joe Jonas, which she performed live at the Latin Grammys, has been a standout moment in her career, showcasing her versatility and star power. The performance was a masterclass in musical artistry, leaving audiences and critics alike in awe.

A School-Born Partnership
Ela’s story is intertwined with that of Kevin Aguirre, a first-year graduate of Abbey Road Institute Miami. Kevin produced all of Ela’s recent music, including the tracks that propelled her to international fame. Their collaboration began during their time at school, where they discovered a shared passion for pushing creative boundaries.

Kevin’s work on Ela’s projects has been nothing short of remarkable, blending technical expertise with an innate understanding of musical storytelling. Watching their professional partnership flourish has been one of the most rewarding aspects of this year.

Celebrating All Our Graduates
We are extremely proud of all our graduates. Joaquina, last year’s Best New Artist, is currently preparing her tour around America and Europe. Santiago Borja, one of our recent graduates, is actively involved on the engineering side of preparing the tour and musical arrangements. Trinity, a graduate from last year, has been working at Criteria Studios for the past two years, contributing to numerous projects, some of which are currently Grammy nominated. (We’ll be releasing an interview with her soon!) And there are so many more stories that we would love to share!

Building the Future of Music
At Abbey Road Institute Miami, our mission has always been to empower the next generation of music professionals. Ela and Kevin’s achievements are a shining example of what’s possible when talent meets opportunity. They embody the spirit of collaboration, innovation, and excellence that defines our community.

Beyond the Latin Grammys, 2024 has been a year of growth and inspiration for our entire school. From workshops with industry leaders to state-of-the-art productions created in our studios, our students and alumni continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in music. We’re incredibly proud of the accomplishments of everyone who calls Abbey Road Institute Miami their home.

Looking Ahead
As we prepare to welcome 2025, we’re filled with excitement for what the future holds. Here’s to another year of creativity, innovation, and unforgettable music.
