You’ve spent your time at Abbey Road Institute working hard and immersing yourself in all of the learning and experiences on offer, what next?
Ambitious and motivated, alumni from across our international schools are establishing themselves in the next stages of their careers in the music industry and beyond. They’re working as producers and engineers to undertaking internships and much more. The opportunities are broad, from working in studios, for a range of businesses and startups in the music and cultural sectors to setting up their own initiatives and working freelance, juggling lots of exciting and demanding projects.
After completing their studies our future Miami graduates will join a global alumni Abbey Road network including all of our alumni as well as our industry friends. This extended family are from different backgrounds and with different skill sets, they progress onto a range of careers. Brought together at the end of their study for the global graduation ceremony there are many opportunities for future collaboration and partnerships.
Clara Blanchet est une jeune auteure, compositrice et interprète française née à Paris. D’abord résolument moderne, son style s’inscrit entre pop et rock. En effet, ses influences musicales vont de la variété au folk-rock, en passant par la musique électronique et le hip-hop. Fort de son premier single “Baise-main” elle a notamment remporté les KR Découvertes 2018. A la suite de cette récompense, KR a organisé un concert intégralement retransmis en streaming. Clara a ensuite collaboré avec la productrice Sylvia Massy pour une nouvelle vision du single “Baise-main”.

Fabian Brummel went straight to Galaxy Studios in Belgium for an intensive internship programme after graduating in 2018. He was immediately offered a permanent position at Galaxy as a full time mix engineer and sound editor, even before his internship was up. As a result, Fabian is currently working mainly in postproduction for some big movie projects.
In his own time he loves composing and is currently working on a couple of new music projects.
“From the moment I entered Abbey Road Institute Amsterdam it took me a total of 5 minutes to realise that I came to the right place. It has been one of the best experiences, meeting new friends for life from all over the world. You learn so much in just 1 year in this incredible environment, which has to be felt to be understood.”
Following his graduation, Dominic Parry worked as a full-time apprentice at leading audio equipment rental company Britannia Row Productions. Founded by Pink Floyd, Britannia Row has grown to become a global leader providing equipment for the London Olympics, Foo Fighters, Mumford & Sons and The Cure‘s tour. Dominic assisted in the 2019 Brit Awards as a stage technician for numerous performing acts including James Bay, Calvin Harris, Hugh Jackman, and P!NK. He has also worked on Andrea Bocelli’s world tour and the MTV European Music Awards. Dominic’s apprenticeship scheme at Britannia Row Productions continued the training he started at Abbey Road Institute. He worked for several months in each of the companies departments (Maintenance, Speakers, Cables, Rigging, RF, Digital, Warehouse Manager Assistant & Prep) whilst taking part in two 15 week training courses; Live Sound fundamentals and Live Sound Intermediate graduating with distinctions in both.
Despite COVID having cleared his calendar of potential work in 2020, Dominic was not disheartened but instead moved to New Zealand, who were COVID free at the time, to find stable audio work. There he freelanced for Oceania Productions on: All Blacks vs Australia Bledisloe Cup (Corporate Lounge), Aotearoa Music Awards (mic & backstage management) and Plane Sailing festival 2022 (stage tech). He also started as a Production Technician for Streamliner Productions where he was then promoted to Head Venue Technician for Sky City.
Dominic is extremely proud of his work in New Zealand, working on projects that hold extreme significance to Māori culture such as operating the audio for The Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care in 2022.
Dominic is currently taking the Ableton Professional Certificate with Berklee Online, hoping to break into playback engineer roles in the future.
Raphaël Guédin studied on the part-time Advanced Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering at Abbey Road Institute Paris from October 2017 to September 2019. A highlight of his time at the Institute was recording band ‘Mother Vulture’ in the Gatehouse at Abbey Road Studios.
He also completed an internship at Audioscope studios, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris whilst he was studying with us. The experience turned out to be very constructive as a few days after the end of his training Raphaël was hired as an assistant at the famous studio. Find out more about Raphael here.
Léo Chupine trained at Abbey Road Institute Paris from January to December 2018. Following his graduation he first became an Assistant Engineer at the Studio de Meudon. This studio is particularly well known for providing two exceptional concert pianos for recording - a Steinway and a Fazioli. Léo Chupin then started work as a freelance sound engineer following his first sessions at the Studio de Meudon. He's had great recognition for his work and his innovative approach. In the second half of 2019, KR magazine selected him to be one of the "10 emeritus sound engineers" who have new ideas about the industry. The article was published in the special issue winter 2019-2020 edition.
Stefan Roscovan is the first Amsterdam student graduating with distinction.
Stefan, born in a family of musicians in a small country called Moldova. He had been taking part in numerous singing competitions prior to studying at Abbey Road Institute in Amsterdam. As a result, he achieved over 20 winning trophies and toured 3 continents in countries including the USA, Germany, Switzerland, Turkey, Russia and Iraq. In 2016, he became a semi-finalist on Romania’s “The Voice” which began his journey into music production and engineering.
At the moment, Stefan works as an independent singer, songwriter, music producer, engineer and multi-instrumentalist based in London. He is the owner of the record label “Reflective Records” and works on freelance projects in mainly Amsterdam, London and Los Angeles.
“Every day spent here felt like I was better than the day before. It is beautiful to think in colours, mix with flavours and develop a unique way to listen and understand music. At Abbey Road is all about perspective and attitude. These things that are taught so well between the magical walls of the institute.”
